GUTAI

gutai

The Gutai group was an artistic movement and association of artists founded by Jiro Yoshihara in Japan in 1954.

An open-Exhibition on the beach at  Ashiya in 1955 with the poetic, if grandiose title "Exhibition of Avant-Garde Sculptural Experiments Throwings their Challenge into the Midsummer Sun" was followed by several scenic and aktions.
