Chiyu Uemae

Chiyu Uemae was born in 1920 in Kyoto.

In 1953 he was a student of Jiro Yoshihara and in 1954 one of the founding members of the Gutai group.
He took part in all exhibitions of the Gutai group.

In 1975 he took part in the founding of the AU (Art Unidentified).
